Colombia | Messer is helping the Colombian energy company Promigas expand its natural gas transportation and distribution network in the northern part of the country. The industrial gases specialist is supplying liquid nitrogen for the inertization of Promigas’ new pipelines and providing tank trucks, control valves and technical expertise.
Promigas supplies 50 percent of the natural gas in Colombia. The company recently started up the Jobo-Majaguas, Mamonal Paiva and Paiva Caracoli main pipelines, including compression stations in Filadelfia and Paiva. The system is used to transport gas from the new fields in Sucre and Cordoba provinces to the rest of the Caribbean coast.
