Acting sustainably – it’s something that concerns nearly every company. But for Messer, it’s more than just that: Sustainability, in all its facets, forms the foundation of our business activities while serving at the same time as the measure of our success. We adhere to the Agenda 2030 adopted by the United Nations. It lays out 17 higher order goals together with the call to implement measures to achieve those goals. In essence, they seek to permanently preserve the natural basis of human existence and to enable people everywhere to live in dignity. How do we put them into practice here at Messer? One example of the linkage between sustainability and benefit: While we pursue our own greenhouse gas reduction targets within the company, Messer’s products and expertise also help our customers’ processes prevent significant quantities of emissions that contribute to global warming.
