Hungary | Messer has erected a nitrogen and compressed air unit in Tiszaújváros for the petrochemical Group MOL. MOL is building a new plant to manufacture polyols in the city in eastern Hungary. Polyols are raw materials with a very wide range of applications in the chemical industry.

They are needed for the production of polyurethane plastics, among other things. It is the largest investment in MOL's company history; the plant is scheduled to begin operation in 2022. The new nitrogen and compressed air unit is the most powerful of its kind operated by Messer in Hungary. Messer already has an air separation unit at the same site.
