Switzerland I 336 solar panels have been mounted on the roof of ASCO’s production facility in Eschlikon. Over the course of a year, they will produce about 111,300 kilowatt-hours of green electricity – significantly more than the site’s own annual consumption of about 90,000 kilowatt-hours. Among other things, ASCO needs the energy to operate a CO₂ recovery unit. The residual electricity is fed into the public power grid as green energy. “We’re glad that we can help protect the environment by producing our own electricity,” says General Manager Ralph Spring. “By also offering CO₂ recovery technology, the name ASCO now stands even more for its commitment to combat global warming.”
