Solder protection from an in-house generator

Hungary | The Bavarian family-owned company Zollner manufactures electronic components, modules and mechatronic systems at its Vác site. Large quantities of nitrogen are needed to maintain the indispensable protective atmosphere required for soldering. To cover the growing demand, Messer recently installed a nitrogen generator there on the company grounds.

Zsolt Bohner (l.), Managing Director of Messer Hungarogáz Kft and József Ógl (r.), Managing Director of Zollner Kft.

Established in 1965, Zollner has since grown to become one of the world’s 15 top providers of contract electronic manufacturing services (EMS). Of its 23 production sites, two in Hungary have been buying their gases from Messer for many years now. Messer’s gases are used to solder electronic components in Vác and for laser cutting, TIG and MAG welding and robotic laser welding in Szügy.
